Hello!

I’m AJ Tope – writer, dreamer and silly man.

I’m currently working as a content developer while I work on my first novel.

My full name is Andrew James Tope, but my family thought AJ Tope sounded like a cooler author name. I’m still not sure about that, but I’ve made the commitment, so here I am.
 
I love writing, reading, culture, history, mystery, exploring, nature, music and pesto (amongst other things) and this site will be a reflection of my interests. I’ll periodically talk about my journey with my novel while I post stories about books and my (often silly) adventures in and around my local area.
 
I live in Brisbane with my partner, my son and my cocker spaniel, and you might find me walking somewhere around town with my headphones on, daydreaming like Walter Mitty.

Some of my literary heroes/inspirations include:
George Orwell, Laurie Lee and Georges Remi.
